Interim Sr. Minister
Rev. Dr. Peggy Hickman
Rev. Hickman, is an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She is a graduate of Lexington Theological Seminary and has completed additional training as an Intentional Interim Minister from the Interim Minister Network and the Center for Congregational Health. She has completed multiple interims in Kentucky, Washington, and Illinois. She is an Intentional Interim Senior Minister. Her family includes her husband Warren, five children, twelve grandchildren, and an extended family of siblings, nieces and nephews. She & Warren also have a variety of international children – exchange students from a variety of countries that have lived with them over the years.
She looks forward to the time together as we move through this time of transition together – secure in the knowledge God is with us, guiding each step of the way.
Veronica and her husband, Dan, have been happily married for 25 years. They have a daughter, Katelyn, and a son, Keyton. They live in Howard County on land that has been in her husband's family for over 120 years. They have a little hobby farm and have donkeys, turkeys, chickens, ducks, and cats. They also have 5 Dachshunds, and a Chi-weenie. She has served at South Side since October 2016.
Organist Jayne Senesac
Jayne grew up in First Christian Church in Richmond, IN. After graduating from Indiana State University with a B.S. in Music Education, she moved to Logansport to begin her teaching career, retiring after 34 years. Jayne received a Master's degree in Music Education from Ball State University, where she took her first organ lessons that led to providing music for church services, funerals, and weddings.
Jayne and her husband, Ron, al former educator have 2 sons and 2 grandsons. She enjoys traveling, long walks, attending Indianapolis Symphony concerts, practicing organ and piano, reading mysteries, knitting and eating chocolate. She began with SSCC in the Spring of 2015.
Tonia, a.k.a. "the lady with 5 nerves" has led 3 different groups of youth and now has a second generation of young people. Tonia's roots are in Southern Indiana, coming from Tell City and graduating with a degree in education from ISU-E (now the University of Southern Indiana). She is retired from the US Postal Service with almost 29 years finishing as Postmaster of Burlington, IN. Growing up active in youth programs including camp, Sunday School, state offices and conventions left a desire for all youth to have the same opportunities and make the same memories while serving God. Tonia has taught youth of all ages Sunday School, VBS, led youth groups as well as chair many committees since coming to SSCC in 1979. She is married to Darrell. She volunteers in several programs for Kokomo Urban Outreach and in her spare time enjoys reading, reality television, traveling, her 3 cats and as everyone knows, University of Kentucky basketball.

Custodians Dave & Kathy Kirk
Dave and Kathy met here at SSCC and were married in 2009. Dave is a retired minister. He has had churches in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana. He preaches for us on occasion too and does a fantastic job! Kathy is a retired school teacher. Most of her 34 years of teaching were in first and second grades. Both enjoy music and reading. Dave was born in Rock Island, IL. Kathy was born here in Kokomo and has been a part of this church her whole life.
Children's Worship & Wonder Teachers Jeanne & Matt Houser
Jeanne Houser has been attending SSCC for about 4 years. She and her husband, Brett, have just celebrated 40 years of marriage. She is the mother of Matt and Kristen. They have two grandchildren, Blaine and Brooklyn. She retired from Delphi in Kokomo in 2005 after 30 years with the company. Matt Houser, frequently comes to SSCC with his parents, Brett and Jeanne. He has a 6 year old mixed breed German Shepherd named Scooby. He works as a manufacturing Medical Equipment Technician for GE Healthcare in Noblesville. He will reach is 10 year anniversary with the company at the beginning of 2017. Jeanne and Matt enjoy teaching the children in Worship and Wonder very much. They have the privilege of teaching their grandson, Blaine and look forward to teaching their granddaughter soon!

They were married after only 8 months of dating. They have two kids, Lila and
Jack, with plans on expanding their family in the future. Emily enjoys cooking,
reading, spending time with family, and most of all teaching children. Emily is
